The challenge
Anomic players traded event items through chaotic DMs and scam-prone channels with no shop structure, no reputation history, and no way to tell a fair price or a trustworthy seller. The community needed a real marketplace layer inside the Discord server where it already gathered.
The solution
A slash-command marketplace bot backed by SQLite via Prisma. Players create shops and manage inventory, browse listings by search, deals, or recency, and complete purchases with an in-game-cash flow confirmed through dual-button confirmation on both sides. Vouches with badge tiers build seller reputation, while scammer marks, DWC warning banners, dispute resolution, and Roblox account verification protect the trading loop.

Outcome
The full trading loop — shop creation, listing, purchase confirmation, vouching, and reputation — now runs inside Discord instead of scattered DMs. Buyers get price context and seller history before committing, and admins get dedicated tooling for scammers, disputes, and verification.
